KTM used their European Adventure Rally as the perfect location to announce that the new 790 Adventure R will go into production in 2019.
After plenty of speculation, the newest addition to KTM’s travel enduro line up has been ticketed as a ‘rally bike on a budget’ with KTM announcing that it’s been designed to bridge the gap between nimble adventure bike and big enduro bike.
The new 790 Adventure R is powered by the same 799cc parallel twin LC8 that makes the 790 Duke hum, although it has been re-tuned for a wider spread of torque.
Here’s a snapshot of the 790 Adventure R’s key features:
799cc parallel twin LC8 engine
Fully adjustable WP suspension
Progressive Damper System shock absorbers
Low-slung fuel pods (tank range in excess of 250 miles)
Low seat height
Adjustable ergonomics
Off-road ABS (optional)
21/18” spoked wheels
