It only feels like yesterday that we were writing about the launch of the 2020 KTM SX Range. But time flies when you’re working from home and the clever folks at KTM have recently announced how they’ll be upgrading the SX range for MY 2021.
Here a five things were excited to see in the range.
Race tuning in the palm of your hand thanks to the Connectivity Unit kit

One of the major announcements from KTM was that the 2021 versions of the 450 SX-F, 350 SX-F and 250 SX-F will be compatible with the advanced myKTM app.
With the Connectivity Unit installed, the app lets you fine tune your bike to your riding style and the conditions with your smartphone and without technical assistance. This is the type of tech that was only available to KTM’s elite riders until recently and we can’t wait to start tweaking our machines like the pros do!
Overhauled forks & shocks for a comfortable ride on all terrains
As far as comfortable rides go, we were pretty darn impressed with the 2020 SX range. But as you well know, KTM never settle and always strive for perfection on all terrains.
For the MY 2021 range, KTM have overhauled the forks and rear shocks with new components, whilst reconfiguring the with a slightly firmer standard setting to increase confidence and comfort across a wider range of terrains.
We’re looking forward to putting this to the test pretty soon.

This bike has one just about all there is to win in the MX/SX arena. Why change it? Well, why not?
The piston, crankshaft, engine casing, rocker arms and shift lockers have benefited from a few modifications to improve the bikes reliability after heavy riding. The team at KTM have managed to improve the durability whilst trimming some of the excess weight.
They also improved the practicality and access to engine parts for general maintenance. All positive improvements to the king of the course.
Sportminicycle range gets a new throttle assembly (and bigger brakes)
Kids love to go fast and they aren’t shy of having a vice like grip on the throttle so KTM overhauled the throttle assembly to reduce the strain on little wrists and allow a better, smoother throttle action.
With their new found confidence on the throttle, the team smartly added larger discs and a new front and rear braking system to KTM 85 SX.
And last but not least, NEW GRAPHICS
They don’t improve performance, but there’s just something about KTM’s new graphics that make us want to pull on our Powerwear and go and get muddy. Very nice indeed.
