Christmas is great, but here at AMS4KTM, May is our favourite month of the year as our mates at KTM announce the new models in their Motocross and Enduro ranges.
The MY 2022 Motocross range promises to be as close to the bikes in the KTM paddock as possible.
According to KTM:
“The new models are the absolute reference for Motocross and Supercross competition worldwide.”
The entire motocross range has received updates for MY 2022 but let’s start with the KTM SX-F model range.
The 4-strokes, which have delivered so many Motocross and Supercross wins have received upgrades in various departments including:
-
The latest WP XACT suspension technology
-
Traction Control
-
Launch Control
-
Variable engine mapping
-
Reliable starters
The 2-strokes are all based on highly successful race bikes in their own right. The KTM 125 SX is a near replica of the bike that took seven of the 12 top spots in the 2020 EMX123 European Championships. The KTM 150 SX gives 4-stroke 250s a run for their money and the KTM 250 SX is a 2-stroke powerhouse that has the light handling and pop off the line that 2-stroke fans keep coming back for.
Reworked colour schemes
All full-size 2022 KTM SX models introduce a frame finishing coated in racing orange to further reinforce the proximity to the championship winning machines of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing stars.
The updated frame aligns perfectly with the new blue seat cover and the fresh colors in the graphics to emphasize visually the close link to KTM’s Factory machinery.
Sportminicycles that represent the real deal
The 2022 KTM 50 SX, KTM 65 SX and KTM 65 SX get the same treatment from the development team as the full size range. Class leading performance, state-of-the-art WP suspension, high end brakes and minimal weight all come as standard in the range.
If you’re looking for something for the rider of the future, the KTM SX-E 5 has had a bit of an overhaul, and the electric mini-crosser can now grow with its young owner.
